Overlor (a.k.a. Sun Prairie Alder, David Virgell)
Overlor is a Boom Bap hip hop producer from Baltimore, MD. He started as a DJ, mentored by a close family friend, and fell in love with hip hop after hearing Sugar Hill Gang. Later, he transitioned to MCing and producing, forming the production team "Da Rebel Group." Overlor continues to grind and create music with passion and dedication.
Join music producer Overlor for The Art of Sampling in Hip Hop workshop. This session, hosted by Make Music Sun Prairie, Prairie Music & Arts, and The Loop in Sun Prairie, will explore the history of hip hop music and share the fundamentals of digital music-making.
